Falco owner/Pilot

Does anyone on this forum know a Falco owner named Jason Strong? He claims to have owned a Falco and damaged it in a landing accident, damaging the left wing and the fuselage. If you have any information of this individual please let me know by email or phone call: Buhwana@charter.net 817-279-3080 T...

Replacing tubes and tires

I've replaced my tires once and I don't remember having the bear of a time I'm currently having. I had two nice LeakGuard tubes, and attempted to reuse one. In trying to get the two halves compressed enough to put the nut on the bolt I had to use several clamps but I pinched the tube when compressin...

insurance again!

I know I've broached this issue before but today I've had cause to revisit it. I have been taking my daughter (33) who is a PPL and IFR pilot, currently moving through the AA flight academy getting her rating to work professionally, flying in the Falco. At the academy they charge over $200/hr for pl...

Wondering when it will be the year they price me out of the sky! Because of inflation and ridiculous airplane prices I probably will have to up my value of the...

It's that time of the year again. Do I go with just Liability, pony up the yearly increase or go "naked?" This year $1930. Last year $1762, previous year $1660, before that $1552. That's a 25% increase over 3 years. Maybe not that much but that's with 150 hours Falco time, an ATP and 18500 hours. I ...

Fire extinguishers

I noticed that my friend Tom Langston carries a fire extinguisher in his Falco. Never thought about it until he mentioned it but I don't like the idea of a medium sized cylinder becoming a missile during a crash or quick stop. After seeing the possible damage just a cell phone could make when my dau...

I started flying gliders in 1966, power in 1978 and retired off the B-777 for AA in 2012. Bought my Falco in 2018 from William Burdis who bought it from the builder Robert Brantly. I've updated it to IFR. Bob won a Bronze Lindy at OSH and SnF around 2004. I've started building a Safari Helicopter (n...
