Re: Jason Strong

A long time ago I saw that airplane at a Flyin in Marysville California. Dan had just recently started flying it. I immediately flashed back to my late teens and the brochure packet I got from sequoia aircraft... I was almost gonna build an RV8. Was gonna order a tail kit soon... I blame THAT airpla...

Do you have a reference to that Spanish discovery in March 19?

Kermit’s Lockheed Vega

Kermit Weeks has a few videos on YouTube showing the rebuilding of a Lockheed Vega fuselage. Though it is a much earlier and very different aircraft, the fuselage construction is remarkably similar to the Falco.

Search YouTube for Kermit Week’s Vega.

Re: Lorenc Kodheli

I'm using mostly Aerolite. West system epoxy some places.
Most of the year my shop is warm enough, but I'll heat it if I'm out there all weekend. A lot of the time I tent the part with a canvas dropcloth and put a heater underneath.

I built the tail parts, then the workshop, now the fuselage. Also in Walnut Creek. Let me know if you want to come by sometime and see it.

Building Tail Ribs

The rib jigs don’t have to be very durable — you only need to make 2 ribs out of each jig. And when you assemble them all, you float sand the ribs to final shape before skinning it. So absolute perfection is not absolutely required. Don’t be afraid to make a bad rib and throw it away. The second or ...

COVID Vaccine Trial

Alfred— thanks for volunteering. These things would go nowhere without people willing to take that risk. Not sure I should thank comrade Wildman, I need to maintain my security clearance. ;-) We just found out that the nasty ‘flu’ that wiped out my wife for 3 weeks after thanksgiving LAST year was i...

A Family Project?

I somewhat randomly came across a partial but very detailed model of the Falco on thingiverse.com Its a website where people post models for 3d printing, etc. Lots of it free to download. The files appeared to be modeled off the Sequoia plans. Posted as a hobbyist, no commercial intent. You can down...

Pete Lloyd

OK, I'll start. I'm Pete Lloyd, I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I have something resembling a Falco Fuselage in my workshop. (It closely resembles the plans, Alfred ;-) ) Current Status: Skin is on the the top of the tailcone, jig removed. Rudder and elevator rigged and played with, canopy...
