s/n 820 Has a new Owner - Me
I am so very proud to finally be able to make this post. I am now the owner of Sequoia Falco sn820 ZU-BTT built by Brian Nelson. She was beautifully built by Brian over 18 years and I was often a visitor to salivate over his expertise. He installed a Lyc O-320-B3A with a fixed pitch propeller and an...

Re: Pre first flight inspection checklist
Found it - It is in the initial chapter of the Falco Flight Test Guide!
I am again amazed at how much effort Alfred put into the plans and supplements.

Pre first flight inspection checklist
I saw a superbly detailed document for the first time yesterday when rummaging through some of Brian Nelsons old stuff. Does anyone have a copy of this document. It would aid in the buyers inspecting a Falco.

Re: Fuel Selector Valve
You will not like the answer but I strongly suggest spending the money and getting an Andair unit. I have yet to hear any objections to their products other than their price - you get what you pay for. It is really not worth buggering around with fuel in the cockpit surrounded by electrics. DO it pr...

Re: Falco Gust Locks / Control Locks
What about the rudder?
I would propose a small fibreglass triangle fitting in the outboard aileron gap and wing tip. Not sure what solution can be used for the rudder and elevators. The seat belt trick is good as long as the wind does not veer and come from aft.

Falco Gust Locks / Control Locks
I was pondering whether anyone here had developed gust locks and if so would they mind sharing what they have?

Re: Fuel Selector Valve
Welcome Dave. You and your dad have a lovely plane. If I am not mistaken the original fuel valve was just an off the shelf brass three way valve that was standard to nearly all homebuilt's at the time. I suspect it is a Weatherhead 3/8"FEM X3/8"FEM 3-PORT Valve (See Aircraft Spruce and Specialty Par...

Re: Fire extinguishers
Not sure anything we can carry in the cockpit is big enough. Halon is mandated by the South African Civil Aviation Authority for all aircraft. In May 1983 I had the adventurous misfortune to be a passenger in a Fairchild F24R aircraft that caught fire in flight. So before the requests start I will e...

Viva Dokter Alfredo Scottellini Papa Falco
My late father (a WWII veteran and fellow Falcoholic) always believed in celebrating the living. I wholeheartedly concur with his sentiment and therefore have embarked penning some drivel which follows. One naturally thinks that we owe the Falco to Stelio Frati, but on more sober reflection, we owe ...
