Re: COVID Vaccine Trial

I ended up getting the placebo in the AstraZeneca trial, but I just got my first shot of the Pfizer vaccine.

One more shot in a month.

Re: Lorenc Kodheli

I assume everyone is aware of the discussion of glues in Chapter 8 of the Falco Construction Manual. I just went back and read it again. It may be 20 years old by now, but I don’t know of any new information to add.

Parke Smith Book

Many of you may remember Parke Smith who introduced many to the Falco when we were getting started.

There is now a book about his experiences.

Lu Matthews

I’m sorry to report that Lu Matthews died last night after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Lu was a commercial artist in Richmond who used an airbrush in the old method of spraying paint on a poster board after layering friskets as masks for each color, and he designed the Falco paint schemes. Find ...

COVID Vaccine Trial

Sure cure for boredom! Yesterday I got my first shot in the AstraZeneca vaccine trial. Odds are 2/3 that it’s the vaccine and 1/3 that it’s the placebo. The paperwork and bureaucracy is unbelievable. My last two doctors retired because of it. The actual shot was a nonevent. Worst part was when they ...

Progress

The machining of the P/N 520 Gearbox Housing has been held up slightly by a rush of work for the machine shop caused by COVID-19. But it is due to start shortly, and I’m holding up a big FBL to be able to show this part, which will look like a piece of jewelry. Plane crash yesterday in Middlesex Cou...

A Family Project?

Wiliiam,

Western Aircraft Supplies is no more.

The plans are in the public domain now. No charges.

You can print out the drawings and build ribs on top of them. Always important to check the dimensions.

A Family Project?

William, Gunder Restoration and Design has all the same kits and components available that we had at Sequoia Aircraft. It took five truck loads to move the shelves, inventory, boxes, etc from Richmond to Red Lion, PA. Three of those were full moving vans. Craig and Martha Gunder are doing a great jo...

Gear Up Problems

Electrical problems are always mechanical problems. I suspect a loose connection. The only way to diagnose a problem with the retraction system is to use the gear logic drawings and trace things down. Let me also mention that the forum has now been hit by spam, so we have changed it so your first tw...
