I’m sorry to report that Lu Matthews died last night after a long battle with Parkinson’s.
Lu was a commercial artist in Richmond who used an airbrush in the old method of spraying paint on a poster board after layering friskets as masks for each color, and he designed the Falco paint schemes. Find him in Falco people on www.seqair.com.
Maybe one of you can grab the photo of him there and post it here. And maybe also some of the paint schemes.
He was passionate about the Falco, and I remember the moment when he exclaimed “You can build it in your garage, but it wasn’t designed in one.”
General discussion area.
