Falco Gust Locks / Control Locks

Post by Alan Evan Hanes »

I was pondering whether anyone here had developed gust locks and if so would they mind sharing what they have?

I would be very careful with this. Best to use seat belts to strap the stick back so it’s fixed in position.

What about the rudder?

I would propose a small fibreglass triangle fitting in the outboard aileron gap and wing tip. Not sure what solution can be used for the rudder and elevators. The seat belt trick is good as long as the wind does not veer and come from aft.
