Sure cure for boredom!
Yesterday I got my first shot in the AstraZeneca vaccine trial. Odds are 2/3 that it’s the vaccine and 1/3 that it’s the placebo.
The paperwork and bureaucracy is unbelievable. My last two doctors retired because of it.
The actual shot was a nonevent. Worst part was when they shoved the swabs up both sides of my nose all the way into the sinuses.

COVID Vaccine Trial
I'm sure this will shock you but recently I volunteered for the vaccine trials for Covid-19 that was held in Houston. The vaccine I received was created in Russia. I received my first shot yesterday at 4:00 pm, and I wanted to let you all know that it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя, and that I feelshκι χoρoshό я чувствую себя немного странно и я думаю, что вытащил ослиные уши.
COVID Vaccine Trial
Alfred— thanks for volunteering. These things would go nowhere without people willing to take that risk. Not sure I should thank comrade Wildman, I need to maintain my security clearance.
We just found out that the nasty ‘flu’ that wiped out my wife for 3 weeks after thanksgiving LAST year was indeed Covid-19. Sorry to be trend setters. She had all the Covid symptoms- loss of taste and smell, cough, fever, lethargy, hair loss, tingling skin, spaced out. I felt pretty poorly for a few days as I cared for her. We think origin was from 2 teachers she works with that travelled to central China over that thanksgiving week. Several staff and numerous students at her school were sick with flu-like symptoms at that time.
We both just tested positive for a specific CD8 T-cell response to Covid-19 — confirming that it was Covid last year that nearly hospitalized my wife. And also indicating that we likely have durable immunity to COVID-19.
Cheers,
Pete
