West Coast Falco Fly-In

The date and site for the 2009 West Coast Falco Fly-in is as follows, the dates are Sept 17, 18, and 19, the location is Longmont, CO.

Longmont is located aprox. 40 miles Northwest of Denver. The airport is just outside Denver Class B airspace. It is close to Rocky Mt. Nat'l Park as well as many other historic and interesting attractions. The airport (KLMO) is just west of the town. It is NOT a mountain airport. You can expect outstanding VFR weather this time of year. No excuses!!!!!.... (BTW, the airport has some of the cheapest avgas available in the state!)

The Fly-in will be based at the Vance Brand Airport (KLMO) and we are working on securing rooms at several hotels close by.....updates to follow.

The hotel that we will be staging from is the Holiday Inn Express of Longmont. Their phone number is 303-684-0404 Located a couple of miles from the airport. They have reserved ten rooms, under West Coast Falco Fly-In from Thurs Sept 17th thru Sunday the 20th. A group rate of $98 per night.... Rental cars are available thru Enterprise.. the phone # is 303-678-0833.

First night dinner (Thurs. #17) will be held at Efrain's III Mexican Restaurant at 6:30PM local time, (720) 494-0777. Itineraries will be handed out then.

The following morning (Fri.) at 10A.M. we are scheduled to meet at Scion Aviation in Loveland to tour the facility that is producing Furio kits in the U.S.

Then, Saturday morning, (Sat. 19th) we will fly out (at 9:00 AM) to Greeley, Colorado for breakfast.

Mary is investigating several transportation options. How many of you lucky Falco lovers that participate will determine if we will need to rent any vehicles. Car rentals should be no problem in any case. Anyone who wants to make a days outing to Rocky Mt. National Park may find this the best option.

If anyone is interested in flying commercial, Denver (DIA) is approximately one hour away by car.
