You set the behavior of the tool in the tool's dialog: You may set to tool to decimals or fractions, the accuracy to be used, and the base number. In the metric world, slopes are typically expressed in terms of 300 -- simply because 300mm is very close to the 12-inch base that's used in the U.S. Or you may choose a rise of 1 so the tool can be used for slopes. To use the tool, you click on a line and move the slope indication into position. |
