Minimum Distance Line Tool
The Minimum Distance Line tool allows you to find the minimum distance between two objects and draws a line between the closest points.

To use the tool, place the cursor in the drawing area on the first object and press the mouse button. Drag to the second object and release the mouse button.

A line will be placed in the drawing between the closest points of the two objects. The tool works with essentially all combinations of objects.
