Camera Tool

Camera Tool
This tool allows you to draw a rectangle and duplicate all objects enclosed in the rectangle in the drawing as a single group object. This is primarily useful for creating details from the existing drawing.

Using the Camera tool to 'take a snapshot', and then moving the new group to one side.

Lines are clipped to the perimeter of the rectangle that you draw, but other objects, such as polygons are not. You'll have to trim these yourself once you get the detail placed on the drawing.
