We found out that in the Picchio the triangles at the spar/wing conjunction were shaped in this way. I think that it shouldn't affect strength. and it's Italian CAA approved !

 

 

Next comes the installation of the wheel rings, and wing-walk supports. Actually we found a little bit difficult to bend the ring's lamination. The thickness called by drawings makes that tight bending tricky, and it's easy to break spruce strips; poplar is much easier to bend and also lighter.

 

 

Here's another view of the assembly. The aluminum access plate is an original new Laverda part, that has never been used.
